1st time visitor Best banana pudding I have ever had from a restaurant. (It is warm so be warned for you warm banana pudding haters)Sweet heat BBQ sauce has jalepenos in it and is awesome. Alabama white sauce is good (comparable to Newks Q Sauce).Sandwiches with the garlic toast have good and unique taste.Baked beans are good, fried okra is very good but very greasy. Service was very prompt. Great job guys! I will be back!
The BBQ here is amazing!!! Run don't walk to eat here!! The Brunswick Stew is GREAT!!! Customer service is perfect!!!!
I've been eating Smokehouse BBQ for years. They have the best BBQ sandwiches and banana pudding. Today, their fries were different, seasoned and too crispy. I like them the way they used to be.
The Alabama white sauce is amazing, that's about it. The meat is tender, but not from smoking, from baking it seemed. There was no smoke flavor or smoke ring on any of the meat.
I have to admit I was fairly impressed by Smokehouse. The BBQ was cooked perfectly the portions were great and the service excellent.Of course with any BBQ you can have the best pork, chicken or brisket in the world if the sauce is no good it'll ruin the work. Smokehouse had this covered as well. If you're a fan of the vinegar based sauces (I am) you'll have a great dining experience. They do have white BBQ sauce as well but I stuck with the tried and true this visit. Side dishes were excellent as well. It's a must that I try the fried okra, and again they didn't disappoint. Crisp on the outside with the right amount of crunch, without being overcooked and stale inside. I'll definitely be stopping by here again if given the opportunity.
One of my favorite BBQ joints i’ve tried in GA. My favorite was the pulled pork although i didn’t get to try the ribs. Great mac. All the sauces were great. Ask for a side of the Alabama white sauce to mix in!
It's not Evan's Barbecue, but still pretty good. Four-star food with five-star service.
Tenderly delicious! Yes!Sides: fried okra and potato salad, yum!Original sauce: perfect match
We live in springcity tenn. And stop here. Worth the money. Great food
Awesome bbq for a good price. Love to go there at least once a month. The bbq sauces are good the pulled pork is delicious. On thing I miss is the old wood shed since they opened the new place.
I know BBQ is a personal taste but I've been around BBQ for over 60yrs and this is one of the best I've had. I especially love their Brunswick stew which is really more like hash. OMG and did I mention the bananas pudding.
02/29/20 We had them do the catering for my wife's Celebration of Life and they did a great job. The food was excellent and it was delivered on time.
Very good pork and chicken BBQ. The slaw, BBQ beans and Brunswick stew are also great. This place has grown up; no more hole-in-the- wall. Nice, new, big, crowded location and 5-6 people waiting for to-go orders (this was late Saturday afternoon. The stew is fine ground, white pork, tomato and vegetables with no chunks of meat. The slaw is fresh, mushy but not milky, finely ground, slightly vinegar, and not sweet. The BBQ beans are pretty sweet and perfectly cooked. Sandwiches served on bun or garlic toast. Outdoor patio and kids menu. Also, second (gravel) exit off the back corner of the building on outdoor patio end.
The food was good. Quick service and the servers were very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and organized.
Their barbeque is delicious. I had the Pulled Pork Platter w/ potato salad and fried okra. I forgot to take photos but there was so much food I was stuffed. Very nice staff. Worth every star!
My pork plate at Smokehouse has always been very tasty however today it was extremely fatty and even had a bone in it the size of a dime. Thankfully I didn't break a tooth. I also had a side of chili which was very strange to me that it didn't taste like chili and had hominy in it...guess that has to be a preference thing? I normally will say something to someone at the restaurant but didn't really have time since I was on a short lunch break and there were people in line. Maybe better next time but will be a while before I go back.
First time visiting and was a great experience. Family friendly and my family enjoyed themeselves. Will be going back for sure. Although they did have a mess up on my order. It was quickly rectified. Highly recommend
Love everything about this place! Very friendly staff, delicious food, great location. We come here often from Winder! Our favorite bbq place!
Three words: Best BBQ around. The pulled pork sandwich is delicious. The mac'n'cheese is delicious. And without question, they have the best banana pudding in the area that I'm aware of. Service is always fast, never had an issue with anything being under or over cooked. The staff is always friendly. If I had to find one single fault, it's that I wish their drive-thru was operational. That's a really minor nit, I know. I imagine it got so backed up that traffic was causing problems, and it just wasn't practical to keep open. I'd like it to be open because I often had my dog with me, and I'd prefer not to leave him in the car while I wait for my order. Even if you phone ahead, you often have to wait behind people to get to the cash register.
Customer service was great! Food was outstanding! Atmosphere's about what's expected at a smoke house restaurant. Will most definitely return.
My son who loves local bbq joints recommended this place. We went during the whole covid nonsense so they were out of chicken, ribs, and beef. I'd have probably ordered the pulled pork plate anyway. Had that with Brunswick stew and fried okra. Everything was excellent. The orka tasted fresh and was crispy and crunchy without being overdone. The stew was excellent..so thick you could eat it with a fork. And the pork was really great with not an ounce of fat or gristle, with lots of great "bark" type pieces. It was really excellent bbq. Can't wait to go back and try the ribs.
If you're looking for down-home southern BBQ, this is the place to visit. This place is an institution and has been around for a really long time. Locals go there on a regular basis and they certainly know why! Because the barbecue is delicious! It's worth the extra drive to go there to visit and try out some of their excellent cooking.
My favorite place to eat by far...food is always great .
I used to work in this building when it was Crossroads Station in the 80's. Before that it was an original KFC. Smokehouse moved in a couple of years ago, only making a good thing bigger and better than ever. They have remodeled and updated everything in the new building, creating an atmosphere that pairs perfect with amazing eats!
This is a great BBQ restaurant. Like pulled pork, stew and I would never leave without their Banana pudding.
Want to thank smoke house for a delicious lunch. Work at a local doctors office and they brought the office lunch. Can't express how much we appreciated their thoughtfulness.
This is a favorite of many many years. Long before they had an inside eat in dining room. Ribs are so smokey and tender. Brunswick stew is exactly as it should be with lots of meat, corn, and tomatoes. Potato salad and slaw are homemade. Try the banana pudding.
Always excellent food! You have to get the banana pudding!
Great food, always! Best brunswick stew around. Had breakfast for the first time. It was good as well!
The food was good and very reasonably priced. The ambiance was quaint and charming (my wife loves cast iron and that giant skillet on the wall had her drooling...to be fair that might have been the food). We didn't try all the sauces, we couldn't find the Alabama white sauce that was mentioned on the board. Over all a really good experience, we will be back.
They give you a good bit of barbecue but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back there
I don't come to town without stopping by for a sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich is AWESOME!
Overall great BBQ joint. My first time in their new building...which seems to be running well as a fully functional restaurant. Different than the old shack and screened porch, but same great food. Pork plate with stew, slaw and baked beans is spot on. Don't leave without getting the banana pudding, I repeat, do not forget the banana pudding!
Authentic BBQ, and I compete in the competition BBQ circuit. Here are some things to look out for: the regular sauce is fantastic, definitely made in-house, not to thick, not to sweet, great balance. Buy a bottle to take home, you won't be disappointed. Pulled pork has a good texture without being over the top with smoke, when you eat bbq you want to taste the meat not just the smoke. Don't waste your time with chain restaurants; if you want authentic, local, southern passion driven BBQ, here is your place.
Must eat if you’re in the area. Worth the drive if not. The banana pudding is served warm and is the best I’ve had. Sauces are ok but not the highlight.
Great food. Friendly atmosphere
Great BBQ with a subtle hickory flavor. Good service and good portions. My favorite BBQ in the state BY FAR!!!
Visiting relatives, went out for lunch. Good food, good people. Nice place.
I love this place! The food is excellent. The stew is delicious and it has ground up & chunky parts. Nice mixture.
Great place, great food and even better price. Frequent lunch option.
Bbq and mac and cheese omg!!!
